Infosys Foundation has announced that its Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program has enabled more than 2.5 lakh job offers across India since its launch in 2025. The milestone represents 50% of the Foundation’s target of facilitating five lakh job opportunities in the country by 2030.

The programme aims to improve employability by equipping young people with industry-relevant skills and connecting them with employment opportunities. According to the Foundation’s announcement, the initiative works with implementation partners to bridge the gap between formal education, practical skills and workforce requirements.

20 Partners Support Youth Employment Across India

Infosys Foundation has partnered with 20 organisations to expand the programme’s reach and connect young people with employment opportunities. The participating organisations include Nirmaan Organization, ICT Academy, Magic Bus, Centum Foundation and Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India).

The initiative combines skills training, workplace preparation and employment linkages to help candidates transition from education to work. Its focus includes young people from underserved communities and first-generation learners who may face barriers to accessing suitable jobs.

Infosys Springboard, the company’s digital learning platform, supports the wider effort to improve access to learning and employability skills. The programme aims to ensure that training is aligned with industry needs and can translate into practical career opportunities.

Focus on Women and Persons with Disabilities

Inclusive employment is a key element of the programme. Infosys Foundation reported that more than 1.25 lakh job offers were enabled for women and over 1,000 for persons with disabilities.

The Foundation has also collaborated with AssisTech Foundation (ATF) for an employment platform and plans to work with The Association of People with Disability (APD) to expand access to career opportunities for persons with disabilities.

These partnerships are intended to address barriers to employment and make job opportunities more accessible to people from different backgrounds and with different needs.

Infosys Foundation Targets Five Lakh Job Opportunities by 2030

The Foundation launched the Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program in 2025 with an ambition to enable five lakh job opportunities in India by 2030. Crossing the 2.5 lakh mark puts the initiative halfway towards that stated target.

Sumit Virmani, Trustee of Infosys Foundation, said the milestone reflects the importance of aligning education and skills development with industry demand. He emphasised that employment can contribute to economic independence, social mobility and greater financial security for individuals and families.

V. Srikanth, CEO of ICT Academy, highlighted the role of partnerships in connecting skills training with sustainable livelihoods. He said that access to relevant digital competencies and workplace readiness can help young people pursue careers and contribute to their communities.

Mayur Patnala, Founder, Chairperson and Global CEO of Nirmaan Organization, also emphasised the need to provide young people with the skills, opportunities and support required to participate in the workforce.
