UP board results 2026 announced, Shikha Verma tops Class 12 exams

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has announced the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results on its official website, upmsp.edu.in, on April 23, with strong pass percentages recorded in both categories.

A total of 90.42% of students cleared the Class 10 exams, while the Class 12 pass rate stood at 80.38% this year.

In the intermediate exams, Shikha Verma from Babura Savitri School secured the top position with 97.60%.

In Class 10, Kashish Verma from the same school topped with 97.83%, sharing the first rank with Anshika Verma.

In the Class 12 results, Nandini Gupta from Bareilly and Shriya Verma from Barabanki jointly secured the second position. Surbhi Yadav from Bareilly and Pooja Pal from Barabanki shared the third rank.

“Examination results are not merely numbers but a symbol of the students’ hard work and determination. Those students whose results do not meet expectations should not be disheartened; there are ample opportunities for improvement ahead,” said Dr Mahendra Dev, Director, Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh.

Students can check their results by visiting upmsp.edu.in and selecting the relevant result link. After entering the required login details, the marksheet will be displayed on the screen, which should be downloaded for future reference.

Last year, the Class 10 pass percentage was 90.11%, while Class 12 recorded 81.15%, according to official data.

Students who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for re-evaluation or scrutiny once the application window opens. A prescribed fee will be required, and revised marks, whether higher, lower, or unchanged, will be treated as final.

Those who failed to secure 33% in the main examination can appear for compartment exams. Students who passed but wish to improve their scores can opt for improvement exams by submitting the application form and paying the required fee.
