The scholarship includes full and partial tuition waivers, AUD 20,000 annual awards, and 20% fee reductions, with eligibility across undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs and automatic consideration for select grants.

The University of New South Wales, Sydney, has introduced a series of scholarships for Indian students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs for the 2026 to 2027 intake, with application deadlines for 2026 programs extended to April 24.
The university said the initiative is part of its “Progress for All” strategy aimed at widening access to international education and easing financial constraints for high-performing students.

The scholarships include tuition fee reductions of up to 20%, along with full and partial fee waivers and merit-based awards.
Among the offerings, the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship provides two options, a full tuition fee waiver and a partial award worth AUD 20,000 per year for the duration of the program.
The International Student Award offers a 20% tuition fee contribution, while the Australia’s Global University Award grants AUD 10,000 for one year. Students progressing from UNSW College Foundation Studies are eligible for the UNSW College Award, which also provides AUD 10,000 for one year.
The university noted that faculty-specific scholarships may also be available based on program and eligibility.
The scholarships are open to international applicants enrolling in eligible undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs. Candidates must first apply for admission through the official portal.
For the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship, a separate scholarship application is required. Applicants for the International Student Award must submit a personal statement of up to 500 words explaining their motivation to study at UNSW Sydney.
The university stated that students applying for the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship may also be considered for additional awards if they meet the criteria.
Those who receive a full admission offer will be automatically assessed for the Australia’s Global University Award, while UNSW College Foundation Studies students will be considered for the UNSW College Award upon admission.
UNSW Sydney offers programs across fields such as engineering, business, data science, law, and social sciences. According to the university, the scholarship scheme is intended to support students in accessing industry-linked education and research opportunities.
