The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has revised the examination fee for the 2027 Karnataka SSLC Class 10 board examination, increasing charges across regular, private and repeater categories.
For students appearing for the SSLC examination for the first time, the fee has been increased by 5%, from ₹710 to ₹746. The revised fee will apply to regular school students and private candidates appearing for the examination for the first time.

The fee hike also covers private candidates registering for the examination. The registration and application fee for newly registering private candidates has increased from ₹248 to ₹260, according to a KSEAB circular.
For private candidates who have already registered and paid the examination fee, the registration renewal charge has been revised from ₹72 to ₹76.
Student category | Existing fee | Revised fee |
|---|---|---|
Regular school students/private candidates appearing for the first time | ₹710 | ₹746 |
Newly registering private candidates | ₹248 | ₹260 |
Private candidates — registration renewal | ₹72 | ₹76 |
Repeaters — one subject | ₹448 | ₹470 |
Repeaters — two subjects | ₹559 | ₹587 |
Repeaters — three or more subjects | ₹752 | ₹790 |
The revised fee structure means repeater candidates will pay according to the number of subjects they are taking. The fee for one subject has risen from ₹448 to ₹470, while candidates appearing for two subjects will now pay ₹587, up from ₹559.
For candidates appearing for three or more subjects, the examination fee has been increased from ₹752 to ₹790.
KSEAB has not yet announced the timetable for the 2027 Karnataka SSLC examination. Based on the previous examination cycle, the Class 10 board exams are expected to be held around March and April, with subsequent examination attempts generally scheduled later in the year.
The final timetable will be notified by KSEAB on its official website, kseab.karnataka.gov.in. Students will be able to check and download the SSLC 2027 examination schedule once it is released.
