Netizens catch Hema Malini with ‘script for reality show' Indian Idol in hand

A Reddit post has recently gone viral on the internet where Hema Malini is seen holding what appears to be a ‘script for the reality show’ Indian Idol.

The presence of a script confirms that the reality shows are indeed not real with every conversation thought out beforehand.

Recently, a Holi special episode of Indian Idol was aired on TV where Hema Malini appeared as a guest judge.

The netizens caught Hema Malini with the script of the show while she was talking to someone off-camera.

The script, written in Devnagri script wasn’t just an outline of the episode but had exact words of what she was supposed to say.

“Hema Ji to describe Mathura style Holi: Priyaganshu ise lath maar Holi kehte hain… (the script goes on to describe the origins of Lath Maar Holi),” the script says.

Some of the comments on Reddit were of shock and disbelief. “Stumbled across this frame of Hema Malini holding the detailed script of last week’s episode of Indian Idol. This is for those who still believe these shows are ‘real’,” read the post.

Another person commented that there’s nothing new and it is common knowledge for everyone.

“All of these reality shows have an outline, that’s part of the package of competition shows. The only “reality” is the performances. Hosting and guest segments always have writers/scripts. This is common knowledge,” the user said.

Most of the reality shows are scripted, even Big Boss to an extent, a user said.

Indian Idol is currently airing its 15th season with Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Badshah as judges.

Hema Malini was part of the Holi episode where she recalled many instances from her career and life on the show.
