Telangana opens applications for free UPSC coaching for minority students

The Telangana Minorities Study Circle has opened applications for its free coaching program for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2027, to be conducted during the 2026–27 academic year at its Hyderabad center.

The initiative, run under the Department of Minorities Welfare, Telangana, is aimed at supporting candidates from minority communities preparing for the competitive exam.

The application window will open on May 7 and close on May 31. Candidates will be shortlisted through a screening test scheduled for June 14.

Admission to the program will be strictly based on merit, and all first-time applicants are required to appear for the screening test.

According to the official notice, the coaching program will offer digital classrooms, experienced faculty, library access, and internet and Wi-Fi facilities.

Accommodation for selected candidates is also under consideration. The program is designed to provide structured academic support for aspirants preparing for the Civil Services Examination.

The scheme is open to candidates belonging to minority communities, including Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, and Parsi groups.

Applicants must either be graduates or currently pursuing professional courses. In addition, the annual family income of applicants must not exceed ₹5 lakh to qualify for the program.

As per the guidelines, 33.33% of seats have been reserved for women candidates, while 5% of the seats are allocated for physically challenged students, ensuring inclusive access to the coaching program.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official portal at cet.cgg.gov.in/tmreis. The screening test will be conducted at Telangana Minorities Residential Schools located in district headquarters across the state.
