The initiative focused on artificial intelligence and programming, combined with soft skills training, aiming to enhance employability and support industry-ready talent through collaboration with academic institutions.

Samsung has certified 1,000 students in Maharashtra under its Samsung Innovation Campus program, expanding its digital skilling initiatives in the state and aligning with broader national efforts to build a future-ready workforce.
The certification drive, one of the first large-scale efforts by the program in Maharashtra, focused on training students in artificial intelligence and coding, two areas seen as central to the digital economy.

Participants included 127 students from Savitribai Phule Pune University, 373 from Pimpri Chinchwad University, 250 from D Y Patil University’s Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, and 250 from Anjuman I Islam’s Kalsekar Technical Campus.
Along with technical training, the program included modules on soft skills and career readiness to help students transition from academic learning to industry roles. The initiative aims to equip participants with practical skills and problem-solving abilities required in evolving technology sectors.
"India's digital growth story will ultimately be shaped by the quality of its talent pipeline. As technologies like AI move from the periphery to the core of industries, skilling must evolve from basic training to building real-world capability,” said Shubham Mukherjee, Head, CSR & Corporate Communications, Samsung Southwest Asia.
“At Samsung, we see programs like Innovation Campus not just as education initiatives but as platforms to bridge this gap-combining deep tech learning with employability and problem-solving skills. This milestone in Maharashtra reflects how industry and academia can come together to create a future-ready workforce that is both globally competitive and locally relevant," Mukherjee added.
Launched in India in 2022, the Samsung Innovation Campus program combines classroom instruction with mentorship and project-based learning to improve access to technology education. The company said the initiative is being expanded across regions to support youth participation in digital sectors.
Samsung stated that it has trained 20,000 youth under the program in 2025 so far, with women accounting for 48% of participants nationwide.
The initiative is implemented in partnership with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and the Telecom Sector Skill Council as part of its broader efforts to support skilling and innovation among young learners.
