NBSE Class 10 and 12 results out, pass percentages improve across streams

The students can collect marksheets from schools between May 1 and May 5, while options for rescrutiny and improvement exams have also been announced by the board for candidates.

NBSE Class 10 and 12 results out, pass percentages improve across streams

The Nagaland Board of School Education has announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results, with pass percentages recorded at 72.07% and 85.46%, respectively.

For the High School Leaving Certificate examination, 22,765 students appeared, of whom 16,406 passed, resulting in a 72.07% pass rate.

Aman Kumar of MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured the top position with 590 marks (98.33%), earning both the NBSE Topper Award and the Governor’s Gold Medal.

Sudhanshu Kumar of Olympic Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto, followed with 98.00%, while Shreya Singh of Holy Child School, Dimapur, and Benchumo Tungoe of Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School, Wokha, jointly held the third position with 97.67%.

In the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination, the overall pass percentage stood at 85.46%, an increase of 3.02 percentage points from 82.44% in 2025.

In the Arts stream, 11,594 students appeared, and 9,945 passed, recording an 85.78% pass rate.

The Science stream saw 2,749 candidates appear, with 2,355 clearing the exam at 85.67%. In Commerce, 919 out of 1,125 students passed, resulting in an 81.69% pass percentage.

Menguhaankum Chang of St John Higher Secondary Residential School, Dimapur, topped the Science stream with 95.60%.

Keleno Thorie of Northfield Higher Secondary School, Khikha, Kohima, secured the top position in Arts with 96.80%, while Shreya Debnath of Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, led the Commerce stream with 96%.

The board stated that marksheets for both examinations will be distributed through respective schools between May 1 and May 5.

Students can apply for rescrutiny within 15 days, and compartmental and improvement exams are scheduled for June 2026, with applications open from May 11 to May 16.
