The Jharkhand Academic Council announced the Class 10 board exam results on April 23, recording an overall pass percentage of 95.27%.
Girls performed slightly better than boys, with a pass rate of 95.51% compared to 95.01% among male students, according to officials.

Out of 424,001 registered candidates, 422,109 appeared for the examination, and 402,178 passed. Among those who cleared the exam, 226,957 students secured first division, 160,673 achieved second division, and 14,548 were placed in third division.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated students, teachers, and parents on the results.
In a post on X, he encouraged those who did not meet expectations to remain motivated and continue working hard, while reaffirming the government’s focus on expanding access to quality education.
Four students shared the top rank in the state, with Priyanshu Kumari from Hazaribag, Shiwangi Kumar from Simdega, Prem Kumar Sahu from Ranchi, and Sunny Kumar Verma from Ranchi each scoring 498 out of 500 marks.
Among districts, Gumla recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.32%, followed by Dumka at 99.02%, Pakur at 98.56%, East Singhbhum at 98.02%, and Latehar at 96.90%. Chatra reported the lowest pass percentage at 91.20%.
The state registered an improvement in overall performance this year, with the pass percentage rising by 3.56 percentage points from 91.71% in 2025.
