The board releases results with over 15 lakh students appearing, toppers announced, and stronger outcomes as government schools outperform private institutions across districts in the 2026 exams.

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2026 on April 15, releasing both outcomes on schedule and ending the wait for lakhs of students across the state.
Pratibha Singh Solanki from Panna secured the top position in the Class 10 examination, while the overall pass rate stood at 73.42% for Class 10 and 76.01% for Class 12.

More than 15 lakh students appeared for the MP Board exams this year, including around 907,000 candidates in Class 10 and nearly 700,000 in Class 12, reflecting the scale of the state board assessments.
Students can access their results through official websites and platforms such as DigiLocker. To check the result, students need to visit mpresults.nic.in or mpbse.nic.in, click on the Class 10 or Class 12 Result 2026 link, enter their roll number and application number, submit the details, and download the marksheet. Students are advised to verify all details on the scorecard carefully.
In the Class 12 results, Khushi Rai and Chandni Vishwakarma from Bhopal emerged as joint toppers with 494 out of 500 marks each. The exams were conducted between February 10 and March 7, 2026, with 689,746 candidates appearing.
This year recorded the best performance in the past 16 years, with a pass percentage of 76.01% for regular candidates and 30.60% for private candidates. Government schools outperformed private institutions, recording a pass rate of 80.43% compared to 69.67%.
A total of 221 students made it to the merit list, including 158 girls and 63 boys, continuing the trend of strong performance by female students. Jhabua district reported the highest pass percentage, at 93.23%.
For Class 10, Pratibha Solanki from Panna topped the exam with 499 out of 500 marks. The examinations were held from February 13 to March 6, 2026, with 897,061 students appearing.
The pass percentage stood at 73.42% for regular candidates and 26.38% for private candidates. Government schools again performed better, recording 76.80% compared to 68.64% in private schools.
A total of 378 students featured in the merit list, including 235 girls and 143 boys, once again highlighting better performance by girls. Anuppur recorded the highest district pass percentage at 93.85%.
Students can check their results on mpbse.nic.in, mpresults.nic.in, mpbse.mponline.gov.in, and results.digilocker.gov.in, where provisional marksheets are available for download.
Students must secure at least 33% in each subject to pass the examination. Those who did not clear one or two subjects can appear for the “Second Main Examination” introduced by the board. Students can reappear in failed subjects or improve their scores, and these exams are treated on par with the main examination.
