MBU partners with PhysicsWallah to offer students training in AI, data, development and digital marketing

Mohan Babu University (MBU) has entered into a partnership with PhysicsWallah’s career-skills platform PW Skills to provide students with industry-focused training and structured career preparation alongside their academic programs.

The collaboration is aimed at helping students bridge the gap between university education and workplace requirements as artificial intelligence continues to change job roles and the skills expected by employers.

The partnership also comes against the backdrop of concerns over graduate employability in India. The Human Capital for Viksit Bharat report places youth employability at 54.8% in 2025 and reports that 63% of Indian companies face talent shortages, highlighting the need for closer alignment between academic learning and industry requirements.

Through the partnership, MBU students will receive practical training, participate in live projects and gain exposure to current workplace tools and technologies. Industry professionals will also conduct sessions to provide students with insights into professional practices and job expectations.

The program will cover technical and career-oriented areas along with soft skills, aptitude, domain-specific preparation and interview readiness.

Students will be able to select career pathways in Data Analytics and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Full Stack Development, and Digital Marketing.

The three-semester program will run alongside students’ regular academic education. It will use a two-teacher mentorship model under which PW Skills industry professionals and MBU faculty mentors will jointly support students throughout the program.

Industry mentors will provide practical and workplace-oriented guidance, while university faculty members will assist students with their learning and development on campus.

The model is intended to give students continued exposure to industry practices rather than limiting career preparation to the final stage of their degree.

Vishnu Manchu, Pro-Chancellor, Mohan Babu University, said the changing employment landscape makes it important for students to gain practical exposure while developing strong academic foundations.

“Our students are entering a world where the pace of change is as much a challenge as an opportunity. At MBU, we want them to see that change as their advantage. Strong fundamentals, exposure to real industry practice and mentorship they can trust are what turn ambition into careers,” Manchu said.

“This collaboration with PW Skills gives our students that blend, in areas such as AI, data and digital, where the future of work is being written. A university's role is to open those doors early, and we are proud to do it together with PhysicsWallah,” Manchu added.

Vinay Maheshwari, Executive Director and Trustee, Mohan Babu University, said employability development needs to begin during a student's academic journey rather than only at the end of the degree.

"Employability is not built in the final semester. It is built steadily, when learning, practice and guidance come together. Through the two-teacher model with PW Skills, industry practitioners and our own faculty mentors will work side by side with students across three semesters, alongside their academic journey. Our aim is simple, every MBU graduate should step into the workplace prepared, confident and ready to contribute,” Maheshwari said.

Alakh Pandey, Co-Founder, PhysicsWallah (PW), said the collaboration would bring practical learning and industry exposure to students before they enter the workforce.

Through this partnership, we aim to bring industry exposure and practical learning closer to students while they are still in college, so that they can build the skills they need for the opportunities ahead,” Pandey said.
