Blaze breaks out in a commercial building in Aliganj, forcing several students to leap from windows as firefighters and police launch a large-scale rescue operation.

A major fire broke out at a building housing a coaching centre in Lucknow's Aliganj area on June 22, triggering panic among students and local residents. Several students were forced to jump from the first floor to escape the flames and thick smoke as emergency teams rushed to the spot.
The fire erupted in a commercial building that also houses a pet shop and other establishments. Witnesses said several people were trapped inside when the blaze spread rapidly, prompting desperate attempts to evacuate the premises.

Videos from the scene showed students climbing out of shattered windows while bystanders and rescue personnel tried to help them reach safety.
One video showed a man attempting to escape through a window before losing his grip and falling onto a fence and then to the ground.
He sustained injuries and was taken for medical treatment. Local residents claimed that five to seven students jumped from the building during the rescue effort, with some suffering injuries, including fractures.
Police, fire department personnel and disaster response teams reached the location soon after receiving information about the incident.
Several fire tenders were deployed, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control after an extensive operation. Authorities said rescue efforts were carried out floor by floor to ensure that no one remained trapped inside the building.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited the site to monitor the rescue operation and assess the situation. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to ensure speedy relief and rescue measures and provide proper medical treatment to those injured in the incident.
Officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the fire. A detailed investigation is expected once cooling operations are completed and the site is declared safe for inspection.
As of June 22 evening, authorities said there were no confirmed reports of fatalities linked to the coaching-centre fire.
