ISB25 Scholars Programme will support students across PGP and PGP YL while new research and faculty initiatives aim to widen access to management education

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has announced a major expansion of its financial aid programme, with 250 scholarships to be awarded every year under its new ISB25 Scholars Programme. The scholarships will cover up to 100% of tuition fees for students enrolled in the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL).
The initiative is part of ISB’s 25th anniversary commitments and is aimed at making its management programmes more accessible to high-potential students across economic, geographical and professional backgrounds.

Under the ISB25 Scholars Programme, selected students will receive tuition-fee waivers of 100%, 50%, 30% or 25%, based on factors including merit and financial need.
ISB said the expanded scholarship programme is intended to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent talented candidates from pursuing management education at the school.
The business school already offers a range of merit-, need- and diversity-based scholarships. Around 25% of its PGP students receive financial assistance each year.
ISB had earlier awarded scholarships worth more than ₹12 crore to around 13% of the PGP Class of 2027, covering both partial and full tuition support.
ISB will also establish the India Research Commons, a national platform aimed at strengthening management research and making advanced research resources more accessible to scholars across the country.
The platform will offer curated datasets, research tools, methodological resources and AI-enabled research infrastructure. ISB said the initiative will build on its own research capabilities while extending access to the wider academic community.
The move is expected to help researchers overcome some of the resource and infrastructure barriers associated with high-quality management research.
ISB will further launch a national faculty development programme for management institutions across India.
The programme will enable faculty members to engage with ISB’s teaching practices, pedagogy and technology-enabled approaches to classroom learning. The initiative is intended to strengthen teaching capacity and encourage the adoption of contemporary methods in management education.
The latest initiatives add to ISB’s recent efforts to widen access to management education and knowledge.
In 2025, ISB launched the PGP YL, with an inaugural cohort of 130 students. More than a third of the students in the first batch received tuition waivers.
The school also introduced ISB Discover, a digital platform designed to make faculty research more accessible to policymakers, business leaders and the wider public.
ISB Dean Professor Madan Pillutla said the institution’s 25th anniversary provides an opportunity to strengthen its contribution to the broader academic ecosystem by making excellence more accessible, knowledge more shareable and research more useful.
Founded in 2001, ISB has campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali and an alumni network of more than 21,000 members across over 65 countries.
Through the ISB25 Scholars Programme, India Research Commons and national faculty development initiative, the business school is seeking to use its academic and research capabilities beyond its own campuses.
The 25th anniversary commitments mark a broader push by ISB to expand access to management education while supporting research and teaching capacity across India.
