The University of Liverpool and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi have formalized a partnership to advance collaboration in research and academic areas related to technology and engineering.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Tariq Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships at the University of Liverpool, and Anil Verma, Dean of International Relations at IIT Delhi.

The agreement outlines cooperation in fields such as quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, and biomedical devices and diagnostics, creating a framework for joint research efforts.
The development follows a recent visit by a faculty delegation from the University of Liverpool to IIT Delhi. During the visit, faculty from IIT Delhi’s Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Kusuma School of Biological Sciences, and Centre for Biomedical Engineering participated in discussions on potential research collaborations.
Tariq Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships, University of Liverpool, said the partnership would support joint initiatives in research and innovation.
Anil Verma, Dean of International Relations, IIT Delhi, said the collaboration would create opportunities for more profound research engagement between the two institutions.
Both institutions said the agreement is expected to facilitate faculty collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint research initiatives.
