The initiative offers companies structured access to research collaborations, innovation projects, institutional facilities, and academic engagement through annual membership plans.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has introduced a new Industry Membership Program aimed at creating long-term partnerships with companies through a structured engagement model focused on research, innovation, and institutional collaboration.
The initiative will be managed by IIT Delhi’s Corporate Relations Office and is designed to strengthen interaction between industry and academia by providing companies with direct access to the institute’s research ecosystem, faculty expertise, and institutional resources.

Structured Membership Model
Under the newly launched program, organizations can enroll through three membership categories based on annual subscription plans.
The Silver membership has been priced at ₹10 lakh per year, while Gold membership will cost ₹20 lakh annually. The Platinum category has been set at ₹50 lakh per annum.
According to the institute, participating companies will receive opportunities to collaborate with academic departments on thematic research, innovation initiatives, and talent development programs. Members will also gain access to research laboratories, training modules, and library resources available at IIT Delhi.
The institute said the model has been structured to encourage sustained collaboration between corporations and academic institutions through dedicated engagement mechanisms and long-term institutional partnerships.
Focus on Research and Innovation
IIT Delhi stated that the program is intended to promote deeper engagement between faculty members and industry representatives in areas such as applied research, technology development, and innovation-driven projects.
Companies enrolled in the program will also receive early access to patents, technologies, and research outputs developed at the institute.
The initiative further includes participation in curated engagement platforms such as CXO roundtables, leadership forums, and Corporate Social Responsibility conclaves aimed at fostering dialogue between academia and industry leaders.
Institute’s Vision for Industry Collaboration
Prof Jayant Jain, Dean of Corporate Relations at IIT Delhi, said the initiative would help build a stronger framework for long-term industry-academia collaboration.
He said the program is expected to support meaningful research partnerships and innovation-focused engagement involving organizations from multiple sectors.
According to the institute, the initiative aligns with India’s broader push toward strengthening indigenous research capabilities, industry-led innovation, and research and development ecosystems.
IIT Delhi added that closer collaboration between academic institutions and corporate organizations would contribute to the country’s efforts to emerge as a global hub for knowledge creation, technology development, and innovation-led growth.
