Aaruush ’26 Draws 1.01 Lakh Footfall, Goes Global with 107 International Participants

Aaruush ’26, the 20th edition of the national techno-management fest organised by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), recorded a massive 1,01,130 footfall, including 107 international participants and 12,974 external participants from 148 colleges, across 116 events.

Held on the theme Towards Infinity, the landmark edition brought together technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and management, with cutting-edge showcases spanning robotics, drones, autonomous systems, defence technology, immersive technology and intelligent mobility.

The technology showcase featured live FPV drone demonstrations, aerial and exploration technologies, and prominent defence exhibits including DRDO’s BMP-2 Tanker, Bumblebee, RoboDog and Robotic Interactive Suit. Visitors also experienced hoverboard technology, immersive VR and other hands-on demonstrations.

SRMIST student teams, including Team Rudra and Team Envision, showcased custom-built drones, FPV systems, rockets, robotics and immersive technologies through events such as Quadcopter and RoboLeague. Autonomous Mobile Robots, self-balancing electric mobility platforms and the IoT-enabled Cabi Robot highlighted emerging applications in automation, mobility and education.

With participation from experts, speakers and guests from across the globe, Aaruush ’26 marked a significant expansion of its international footprint. The festival featured flagship events including Industrial Conclave, E-Summit, LANstorm, T-Summit, 17-Domains and Hack Summit.

At its 20-year milestone, Aaruush ’26 has emerged as a large-scale platform connecting young innovators with global perspectives, emerging technologies, industry and real-world challenges, while placing student innovation at the centre of India’s technology ecosystem.
