Railways Boost Connectivity With New Bhuj-Barauni Amrit Bharat Express

Indian Railways has approved a new tri-weekly Amrit Bharat Express connecting Bhuj in Gujarat with Barauni in Bihar, providing an additional rail link between western and eastern India.

According to an official statement issued on Friday, the new service will cover 2,532 km and connect major destinations across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Train No. 19427 Bhuj-Barauni Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Bhuj at 5:30 pm and arrive at Barauni at 4:05 am. In the return direction, Train No. 19428 Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express will depart Barauni at 11:55 pm and reach Bhuj at 1:15 pm.

The Bhuj-Barauni service will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, while the Barauni-Bhuj service will run on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The train will have commercial stoppages at several important stations, including Samakhiali, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur.

The new service is expected to provide passengers with an additional travel option between western and eastern regions and strengthen connectivity between Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Jhansi-Agra Cantt Express extended to Mathura

Indian Railways has also approved the extension of Train Nos. 11901/11902 Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Agra Cantt Express up to Mathura.

Following the extension, Train No. 11901 will operate from Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi to Mathura, while Train No. 11902 will originate from Mathura for its return journey to Jhansi.

The total distance covered by the service will increase from 217 km to 270 km.

The extended route will include commercial stoppages at Raja ki Mandi, Runkuta, Deen Dayal Dham and Baad, providing additional rail access to passengers travelling along the route.

Train No. 11901 will depart Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi at 4 pm and reach Mathura at 11 pm. In the return direction, Train No. 11902 will leave Mathura at 5:05 am and arrive at Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi at 12:50 pm.

The extension is expected to strengthen passenger connectivity between Jhansi, Agra and Mathura, while improving access to intermediate stations along the extended route.
