Air India Express offers students 10% fare discount with extra baggage

Air India Express has rolled out a special fare offer for students ahead of the festive travel season, offering a 10% discount on domestic Value fares, an increased check-in baggage allowance and a ₹99 date-change option on eligible direct bookings.

The offer is aimed at students travelling between semesters, internships and their homes and will remain available until October 20, 2026 through the airline's booking channels.

Under the offer, eligible students get an additional 10 kg of check-in baggage, taking the total allowance to 25 kg, compared with the standard 15 kg allowance.

Students who book directly through the Air India Express website or mobile app can also access the ₹99 date-change facility, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

The airline is also running other promotional offers alongside the student fare. Customers booking eligible domestic and international flights directly through the website or app can avail themselves of an additional 5% discount using the VIBES promo code, subject to the offer's terms.

Who can avail the student offer?

The student fare is available to passengers aged 12 years and above who hold a valid student photo ID issued by a recognised educational institution.

The ID should carry the student's name and date of birth and may be required for verification at the time of check-in. Students are therefore advised to carry their valid student ID while travelling.

The student offer applies to eligible domestic bookings and includes the 25 kg check-in baggage allowance.

Air India Express Visa card offer

Air India Express is also offering a separate discount to customers using eligible Visa debit or credit cards to book domestic and international flights.

Under the offer, customers can get up to ₹600 off by using the applicable promo code available on the airline's official website. The Visa offer is valid until October 9, 2026, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
