A major fire broke out on the 12th floor of the Ivy County residential complex in Noida Sector 75 on June 5 morning, prompting a large-scale evacuation. No casualties were reported, while authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze.

A massive fire broke out in a high-rise residential tower in Noida's Sector 75 on June 5 morning, gutting two apartments and triggering the evacuation of residents from the building. Officials said no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
The blaze erupted at around 8 am in a flat on the 12th floor of the 28-storey Ivy County residential complex. Thick black smoke and flames were seen billowing from the apartment, with videos recorded by residents quickly circulating on social media. Firefighters and police personnel rushed to the site and launched an extensive rescue and firefighting operation.

According to Gautam Budh Nagar Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chubey, six fire tenders and hydraulic platforms were deployed after authorities received information about the fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus entered the affected flats to contain the blaze. Officials said flats numbered 1203 and 1204 were severely damaged in the fire.
Residents of the tower and neighbouring apartments were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Authorities shifted occupants of nearby flats to safer locations while emergency teams worked to prevent the fire from spreading further. No injuries or fatalities have been reported so far.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, possibly linked to an air conditioner or an electrical fitting in the prayer area of one of the flats. However, officials said the exact cause is yet to be determined and a detailed investigation is underway.
Firefighters later deployed 42-metre hydraulic platforms, capable of reaching up to the 14th floor, to tackle the flames in the upper sections of the building. The fire was eventually brought under control after several hours, and cooling operations continued to prevent any reignition.
The incident occurred amid heightened concerns over fire safety in the National Capital Region following recent fire-related tragedies. On the same morning, emergency services were also called to a separate fire at a building in Noida's Sector 52, where multiple people were rescued and no casualties were reported.
