Prof Krishna Pal Singh Appointed Vice-Chancellor of DDU Gorakhpur University

Prof Krishna Pal Singh has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University for a three-year term, filling the position after the tenure of Professor Poonam Tandon ended on Sept 3.

Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel approved Singh’s appointment under Sub-section (1) of Section 12 of the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973. The Raj Bhavan issued the order confirming that his tenure will begin from the date he assumes charge.

Singh is currently a professor at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He has previously served as Vice-Chancellor of Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University in Bareilly.

His appointment provides Gorakhpur University with new leadership following the conclusion of Tandon’s tenure earlier this week.
