The agency said enhanced security protocols and multi-layered safeguards are in place for the June 21 test, while advising candidates to avoid unverified information online.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) reaffirmed that the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be held as scheduled on June 21, dismissing speculation about a possible postponement and urging candidates to rely only on official information.
With three days left for the exam, the agency said comprehensive security and administrative measures have been put in place in coordination with central ministries, state authorities, and law enforcement agencies to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the test.

In a message to students, the NTA encouraged aspirants to remain focused on their preparation rather than social media rumors.
"To every candidate: you have worked hard, you have prepared, and now is the time to trust your effort. Stay calm, rest well, and focus on doing your best. That is all that is asked of you."
The agency said the upcoming examination will be conducted under strengthened monitoring and security protocols aimed at protecting the integrity of the process.
"The integrity of this process is our highest priority, and robust, multi-layered safeguards have been put in place. Any attempt at malpractice will be dealt with firmly - because protecting honest, hardworking students is exactly what this is about."
Explaining the decision to cancel the earlier NEET examination on May 3, the NTA said immediate action was taken after irregularities came to light to safeguard the interests of genuine candidates.
"The moment a problem was identified, we acted to protect the fairness of the process for every sincere candidate. We have carried those lessons forward and strengthened the system further this time," the NTA stated.
The agency also highlighted the availability of psychological support for students dealing with examination-related stress and anxiety.
"If the pressure feels heavy, please know you are not alone. The MANAS mental-health helpline (14416) is available, and support is there for anyone who needs it. Reaching out is a sign of strength."
The NTA further appealed to parents, teachers, and members of the public to support candidates by refraining from sharing unverified claims or misleading information online.
"Avoid sharing unverified information. Let them walk into the examination with steady, untroubled minds," it added.
According to the agency, the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities.
