Candidates will receive test city intimation on Aug 11, while the board has advised applicants to complete registrations early, as late submissions will not be accepted.

NBEMS has opened the registration window for NEET-PG 2026, with online applications being accepted until July 21.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) said the postgraduate medical entrance examination will be conducted on Aug 30 as a computer-based test at examination centers across the country.

In a notification issued on June 30, the board said candidates will have three weeks to complete and submit their online application forms.
It also advised applicants not to wait until the last date, stating that no request for acceptance of an application through any mode after the prescribed submission window closes will be entertained.
As per the schedule, test city intimation slips will be released on Aug 11, the examination will take place on Aug 30, and the results are expected to be declared by Sept 30, 2026.
Candidates with an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized under the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019, or the repealed Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, are eligible to apply.
Applicants must also hold a permanent or provisional registration certificate for their MBBS qualification issued by the NMC, the former Medical Council of India, or a State Medical Council.
In addition, candidates must have completed or be expected to complete their internship by March 31, 2026. NBEMS clarified that there is no age limit for NEET-PG 2026.
However, to be eligible for the examination, candidates must complete the mandatory one-year rotatory internship by July 31, 2026. Those who fail to meet the internship deadline will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

NBEMS has also outlined separate eligibility requirements for foreign medical graduates. Only Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have obtained their primary medical qualification outside India are eligible, provided they have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) under the Screening Test Regulations, 2022.
To qualify for NEET-PG 2026, such candidates must be registered with the NMC, the former Medical Council of India, or a State Medical Council, and must have completed or be expected to complete their internship by March 31, 2026.
Foreign nationals must complete their internship by July 31, 2026, or earlier to be eligible. In addition, all foreign medical graduates must register with the former Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council after obtaining the FMGE Pass Certificate and submit a copy of their registration certificate as proof of eligibility.
NEET-PG is the national-level entrance examination conducted by NBEMS for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs in medical colleges across India.
