The agreement aims to support personnel and families with flexible academic pathways, enabling them to pursue higher studies and professional development while managing demanding service responsibilities across the state.

The Meghalaya Police has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Royal Global University to expand access to higher education for its personnel and their families across the state.
The agreement was signed by Director General of Police Idashisha Nongrang, IPS, and Prof DN Singh, Registrar Academics at Assam Royal Global University.

According to officials, the collaboration is aimed at "strengthening partnership for education and welfare," with a focus on enabling police personnel and their families to pursue higher education and skill development.
The initiative is intended to help serving officers balance academic pursuits with their professional responsibilities, offering more flexible and structured learning opportunities.
The move reflects a broader effort by the Meghalaya Police to support the personal and professional growth of its workforce beyond operational duties.
Through this partnership, the department seeks to provide accessible pathways to higher education for personnel who often face practical challenges in continuing their studies.
