The new programs cover emerging and interdisciplinary areas, including artificial intelligence, renewable energy, languages, law, and social sciences, to broaden academic options and strengthen industry-aligned learning pathways for students.

Jamia Millia Islamia will close the admission registration process for the 2026–27 academic session on March 25, with applications currently open for a wide range of programs.
The process began on Feb 20 along with the release of the official prospectus. Candidates applying to programs that require entrance examinations must submit their forms by March 25.

Applications through the multiple entry pathway under the Four-Year Undergraduate Program, subject to seat availability, will remain open until April 10.
The university said application forms for programs where admissions are based on national-level exams such as JEE Main, NATA, NEET for BPT, NCET, and CUET will be available for up to 10 days after the respective results are declared.
In line with the National Education Policy 2020, Jamia Millia Islamia will implement the multiple entry and exit option under the four-year undergraduate program from the 2026–27 session, offering greater flexibility to students.
To improve access for applicants, the university has expanded its entrance test network by adding three new centers in Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishanganj.
This takes the total number of centers to 11, including Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Kolkata, Srinagar, Calicut, and Bhopal.
JMI has introduced 30 new programs for the upcoming academic session across disciplines such as languages, engineering, sciences, management, law, and design. These additions aim to expand academic offerings across emerging and traditional fields.
The new courses include BA (Hons) Japanese Studies, BA (Hons) German Studies, BA (Hons) Uzbek Language, Literature, and Culture, and BA (Hons) Human Resource Management, along with MA Social Work and MA Sociology.
In the science and technology domain, programs such as MSc Biosciences, MSc Biotechnology, MSc Renewable Energy, and BTech Robotics and Artificial Intelligence have been added. The university has also introduced MTech Material Science and Technology.
Law programs include LLM in Criminal Law, Corporate Law, and Personal Law, among others, further expanding options for students across disciplines.
The university has also revised its fee structure for international students as part of its push toward greater global engagement.
Fees have been reduced for foreign applicants under both general and supernumerary categories, and a region-specific differential fee system has been introduced for candidates from SAARC countries, West Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
