The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi has partnered with education platform Masai to launch an Executive Programme in Product Management at its Hyderabad campus, aimed at preparing learners for product-focused roles through classroom instruction, industry mentorship, and practical project work.

According to IIM Ranchi, the program has been designed to address the growing demand for professionals who can combine customer insights, technology, and business strategy in product-led organizations.

The curriculum covers key aspects of the product lifecycle, including customer discovery, product strategy, roadmap planning, execution, stakeholder management, and product analytics. Participants will also gain experience using product management, analytics, collaboration, and AI tools.

The program includes a capstone project supervised by IIM Ranchi faculty members and industry experts. Learners will present their final projects before a panel comprising faculty and practitioners from the industry.

A total of 72 instructional hours have been planned, including 60 hours of faculty-led sessions and 12 hours of masterclasses delivered by industry mentors. The course will also feature regular interactions with industry leaders and in-person project reviews.

Prof Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi, said, "Product management today requires professionals who can combine customer understanding, strategic thinking and effective execution.”

“This program has been designed to offer participants a practical and immersive learning experience through faculty-led sessions, industry mentorship, case discussions, and hands-on projects. By covering the full product lifecycle, the program aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully in product-focused roles,” Srivastava added.

"The best product leaders are not just builders — they are visionaries who listen deeply, think boldly, and act with purpose. This program has been crafted to ignite that spark in every participant, blending rigorous frameworks with real-world challenges, mentorship from seasoned practitioners, and collaborative experiences that mirror the demands of today's product landscape,” said Prof Manish Bansal, Chairperson of Executive Education & Consulting (EEC), IIM Ranchi.

“From ideation to launch and beyond, learners will emerge with the confidence, clarity, and capability to lead products that truly make a difference,” Bansal added.

“As product teams become increasingly central to how organizations innovate and grow, the need for structured, practice-oriented product management education has never been greater,” Prateek Shukla, CEO and Co-Founder of Masai.

“Through this partnership with IIM Ranchi, we are bringing together academic rigor and industry relevance to create a learning experience that goes beyond theory and focuses on real-world application. Our goal is to help learners build the skills, mindset, and execution capabilities required to thrive in modern product roles,” Shukla added.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate from IIM Ranchi. They will also be awarded a project completion letter by Masai for their capstone project.

The program will be held at IIM Ranchi's Hyderabad campus and is open to candidates who have passed Class 12 or higher levels of education.
