What does HMIS stand for?

An all-encompassing digital health platform for administering and providing CGHS services to employees of the central government, retirees, and their family members.
Introduced On: Set to launch on 28th April 2025, substituting the obsolete CGHS software created in 2005.

A segment of the Digital Health Transformation within the framework of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

PAN-Based Unique Identification: Every beneficiary will be associated with a PAN number to remove duplicate records and simplify entitlements.
Digital Contribution Monitoring: Connected with Bharat Kosh for instant, automated payment validation.
Pre-Payment Review: Verification of application eligibility and contribution is conducted prior to payment, enhancing user awareness and system effectiveness.
Digital Card Management: Recipients can electronically handle requests such as card transfers, category modifications, and changes to dependent status.
Instant Notifications: Text and email updates for every application phase promote transparency and lessen the need for in-person follow-up
