The Railway Minister of the Union inaugurated the RailOne App at the 40th Foundation Day of CRIS, the application seeks to enhance and modernize passenger services throughout Indian Railways

What is RailOne?
RailOne is a comprehensive mobile app for passengers of Indian Railways, providing unified services via one platform.

Created By: Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), within the Ministry of Railways.
Aim: To improve digital platform, provide smooth access to train services, and decrease reliance on several applications.
Essential Characteristics of RailOne Application:
Integrated Passenger Services: Merges unreserved ticket reservations (UTS), real-time train monitoring, e-catering, luggage assistance, and final leg taxi bookings.
Digital Ticketing: Unreserved UTS tickets via R-Wallet provide a 3% discount.
Unified Login: Employs single sign-on through mPIN, biometrics, and is compatible with current UTS/RailConnect credentials.
Space-Saving App: Removes the necessity of downloading numerous railway applications.
Complaint Resolution: Simple submission and monitoring of issues for enhanced traveler assistance.
Approved by IRCTC: Like other commercial applications linked with the official ticketing system.
Future Outlook – Enhanced PRS System:
Release by December 2025: A contemporary, multilingual, scalable Passenger Reservation System (PRS) is being developed.
Enhanced Features: Manages 1.5 lakh ticket reservations and 40 lakh inquiries per minute.
Accessible Design: Options for Divyangjan, students, and patients, including seat selection and fare schedule.
