India’s experience with Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) such as Aadhaar, UPI and CoWIN was showcased as a scalable model for inclusive digital transformation. France emphasised alignment with EU-style regulatory approaches while accommodating innovation from emerging economies.
Why it matters:
Conclusion:
The UN curtain-raiser positions the AI Impact Summit 2026 as a critical forum for shaping the future of AI governance. By jointly leading this dialogue, India and France are advancing a vision of AI that is innovative yet responsible, global yet inclusive, and firmly anchored in human values.
