The gift will make the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine tuition-free for students from families earning up to $300,000 and cover living expenses for families earning up to $175,000. Nearly two-thirds of current and incoming medical students will benefit from free tuition or full financial support.
Beyond the School of Medicine, the endowment will boost financial aid at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, School of Nursing, and other graduate programs. This includes the newly announced School of Government and Policy, aimed at fostering interdisciplinary leaders.
