Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the BJP candidate for Gandhinagar, has called upon the party workers to approach the upcoming elections with a national perspective, emphasizing that the contest is for the country's future rather than just the party's success.
Launching his campaign in Ahmedabad, Shah, alongside Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, initiated his electoral journey with a spiritual touch, seeking blessings at a local Hanuman temple and paying homage to the iconic freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.

Addressing the party cadre, he urged them to reach out to every voter, advocating for the 'lotus' symbol, which represents the BJP on electronic voting machines.
Reflecting on his political journey, Shah recounted his humble beginnings and how the BJP has been instrumental in elevating individuals from modest backgrounds to positions of significant leadership, including himself and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Grateful for his renomination, Shah acknowledged the support of BJP President J.P. Nadda and Modi, while also recalling the legacy of the Gandhinagar constituency, previously represented by stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani.
Shah lauded Modi's tenure as Prime Minister, highlighting the government's stringent measures against terrorism, Naxalism, and unauthorized infiltration. He recounted the Doklam standoff with China, praising Modi's firm stance that led to the de-escalation of the situation.
The Union Home Minister underscored the significance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as a pivotal moment to further India's progress and global standing. He rallied the party workers to aim for an unprecedented victory, targeting over 400 seats, and spoke of the widespread support for Modi across the nation.
Shah's previous electoral victory in 2019 saw him defeating the Congress candidate by a substantial margin, contributing to the BJP's complete sweep of Gujarat's Lok Sabha seats. As the Congress, now allied with the AAP, deliberates its candidate selection, the stage is set for a high-stakes political battle in the heartland of Gujarat. The election narrative, as shaped by Shah, transcends party lines, positioning it as a decisive moment for the entire nation.
