A major security breach was reported at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on April 6 after a car broke through security barricades and entered the high-security premises, triggering panic and raising serious concerns over safety protocols.
According to reports, the vehicle forcefully crossed an iron barrier at the Assembly complex and drove inside the restricted area. The incident occurred during the day, when security arrangements are typically stringent due to the presence of lawmakers and officials.

During the breach, ink was allegedly thrown at the official vehicle of the Assembly Speaker, escalating the seriousness of the incident. The act appeared to be targeted, though the motive behind it has not been officially confirmed.
Officials said the car rammed through barricades before entering the premises, indicating a lapse in the first layer of security. The sudden intrusion prompted an immediate response from security personnel deployed at the site.
Reports also indicated that individuals inside the vehicle exited briefly after entering the premises, further heightening the security scare. Authorities are investigating whether the act was pre-planned and if more individuals were involved.
The Delhi Assembly is considered a high-security zone, and such an incident has prompted questions about enforcement and preparedness.
Police and security agencies have launched an investigation into the incident to identify the individuals involved and determine how the vehicle was able to bypass security checks. CCTV footage from the premises is being examined as part of the probe.
Officials are also expected to review existing security protocols at the Assembly complex to prevent similar incidents in the future. The breach has triggered calls for tightening access control and strengthening perimeter security.
No injuries were immediately reported in the incident, and authorities have not released detailed information about arrests or detentions at the time of reporting.
The incident comes amid heightened security concerns in the national capital, with government establishments maintaining strict surveillance and access controls.
