Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to remain in ED custody until March 28.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently in Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody, on Sunday, issued his first government order post his arrest in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam.
The directive, related to the Water Ministry, was sent via note to Delhi Minister Atishi, showcasing his commitment to governance despite his detention.
Atishi, who oversees the water supply portfolio in the national capital, expressed deep emotion upon receiving the directive from AAP’s national convenor Kejriwal.

Aam Aadmi Party maintained that Kejriwal will continue to govern Delhi from jail and will not resign from the post despite BJP’s sharp criticism and demand for his resignation.
Earlier, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari took a jibe at Kejriwal, saying, “gangs run from jail, not governments”, and questioned the legitimacy of governing while in custody.
Kejriwal was arrested late Thursday by Enforcement Directorate for his alleged involvement in the corruption case, where he was accused of favoring certain alcohol dealers and using unlawful money to fund Goa and Punjab state elections.
He has been remanded to ED custody until March 28 by a trial court for interrogation regarding alleged irregularities in the liquor scam. Kejriwal, on Saturday, had sought an urgent hearing by the Delhi High Court, claiming the central probe agency’s action as "illegal”. However, the court which is set to resume its proceedings on March 27 after Holi vacations, refused the petition challenging his arrest.
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, read an emotional message from her husband while he was in jail.
In the message, Arvind Kejriwal reaffirmed his dedication to serving the nation and reassured the people of Delhi that to fulfill his promises once released.
