Heightened security measures and panic have resurfaced as multiple Delhi schools received bomb threats via email just days after a similar mass alert on Dec 9, prompting swift emergency responses.

At least four prominent schools in Delhi were targeted with bomb threats via email early morning on Dec 13, triggering emergency responses from the police and fire department.
The affected institutions include DPS East of Kailash, Salwan School, Modern School, and Cambridge School, prompting immediate security sweeps.

A senior fire department official disclosed, “We received threat-related calls from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar at 4:21 am, Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri at 6:23 am, and DPS Amar Colony in East of Kailash at 6:35 am.” He confirmed that police, fire services, bomb detection teams, and dog squads were promptly dispatched to the respective schools to conduct thorough searches.
Earlier this month, a wave of panic swept across Delhi when over 40 schools received bomb threats via email on Dec 9. The threats triggered widespread fear, prompting law enforcement and emergency teams to conduct extensive searches.
Though no explosives were found, the incident highlighted significant vulnerabilities in school security protocols.
Reacting to the latest threats, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed grave concern. “This is the second time this week that Delhi schools have received bomb threats, which is extremely serious and worrying. If this continues, how badly will it affect the children? What will happen to their studies?” he remarked.
AAP also criticized the Central government and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the prevailing security situation. “Amit Shah ji, wake up now. Crime has now reached its peak in Delhi. Every day there are threats of bombing schools. Those who threatened also know that Home Minister Amit Shah is sleeping. No action will be taken against him,” the party posted on X (formerly twitter).
Over the past eight months, several critical establishments in Delhi, including schools, colleges, hospitals, and the airport, have been targeted by bomb threats, which ultimately turned out to be false alarms. Authorities are intensifying efforts to trace the sources of these hoaxes to prevent future disruptions and maintain public safety.
