After a two-day strategy meeting, Abhijeet Dipke says the Cockroach Janta Party will function as a public pressure group, with a nationwide outreach campaign focused on education, unemployment and governance.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), led by youth activist Abhijeet Dipke, has announced that it will not enter electoral politics for now and will instead function as a public pressure group, launching a nationwide public outreach campaign titled ‘Kya Bolti Public’ from September.
The decision was taken during a two-day meeting of the organisation's core committee in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, where members deliberated on the movement's future course following its recent student-led protests against examination irregularities.

According to Dipke, the campaign aims to engage directly with citizens across the country, gather feedback on issues affecting ordinary people and build sustained public participation rather than contest elections.
The initiative is expected to focus on concerns such as unemployment, rising education costs, the condition of government schools and declining public trust in institutions.
The announcement comes days after speculation that the CJP could transform itself into a political party following its high-profile protests over alleged examination paper leaks.
However, Dipke said the organisation would continue to operate independently and seek to influence public policy through civic engagement rather than electoral politics at this stage.
As part of the campaign, CJP also plans to expand its grassroots presence through a nationwide membership drive, inviting students, young professionals and citizens to participate in its activities.
Supporters will be able to register through the organisation's official platform as it seeks to broaden its outreach beyond the education sector.
The CJP gained national attention after spearheading protests against alleged examination irregularities, particularly the NEET paper leak controversy, with demonstrations at Delhi's Jantar Mantar drawing widespread participation from students across the country.
The movement has since positioned itself as a platform advocating institutional accountability and reforms in education and governance.
Dipke has maintained that while the movement will continue raising issues affecting students and young people, it does not intend to align with any political party or contest elections for the time being.
Instead, the organisation says it will focus on building public awareness and amplifying citizens' concerns through its upcoming 'Kya Bolti Public' campaign.
