Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation for a National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) campus and Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Nava Raipur, while pledging that anti-Maoist operations will persist throughout the monsoon—breaking the seasonal pause traditionally observed in dense forest terrain.
Addressing security officials and gathered villagers, he reiterated the March 31, 2026 deadline to eliminate Maoist insurgency and ruled out any dialogue with militants.

“This time, we will not let them sleep during the monsoon… We are moving forward towards our target of eliminating Maoist by March 31, 2026,” Shah declared.
He appealed directly to Maoist cadres to “lay down arms and join the mainstream,” promising full support under the government’s “lucrative” rehabilitation policy.
In the past eighteen months, over 400 Maoists, including top leader Basavaraju (Nambala Keshava Rao), have been neutralized in Chhattisgarh alone.
Shah presided over a strategic security review with state and regional police chiefs and announced an upcoming visit to a BSF camp in Narayanpur, a Bastar-region hotspot.
Meanwhile, Nava Raipur, also known as Atal Nagar, is rapidly evolving from a partially developed smart-capital into a vibrant civic centre.
New investments totaling ₹4,500 crore have been approved in the past 18 months, accompanied by shifting of ministers' residences, the opening of cafés, and streamlined land allotments.
The city has also cleared all its debt—becoming the first debt-free modern planned city in India.
With infrastructure like the CBD railway station, reliable bus corridors, underground utilities, and CCTV surveillance, Nava Raipur is steadily becoming operational—setting the stage for its development as an edu-city, IT-city, spiritual hub, and industrial growth centre.
