Eligible ITI and diploma holders with relevant railway or metro experience can apply online for positions offering salaries up to ₹1.10 lakh through a multi-stage selection process.

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has opened the online application process for 237 Technician posts for India's first bullet train project, inviting eligible candidates from multiple technical trades. Applications can be submitted through the official website, nhsrcl.in, until Aug 5.
The recruitment covers vacancies in Civil/Track Fitter, Mechanic, Draftsman, Surveyor, Electrician, Welder, Plumber, Painter, Electrical, Signalling & Telecom, Rolling Stock Technician, and several other technical disciplines.

According to the official notification, the highest number of vacancies are available for Electrical Technician with 77 posts, followed by Signalling & Telecom Technician with 63 posts.
The recruitment also includes 18 Civil/Track Fitter posts, 16 Civil/Track Mechanic posts, 13 Rolling Stock Electrician posts, and 10 Rolling Stock Fitter post.
The remaining positions are distributed among Civil/Track Draftsman, Surveyor, Electrician, Welder, Plumber, Painter, Machinist, Rolling Stock Welder, and RAC Technician roles.
To be eligible, candidates must have passed Matriculation or SSLC from a recognized board along with an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, or Matriculation/SSLC with an apprenticeship in the relevant trade, or a three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
Applicants must also possess at least two years of experience in the Operations and Maintenance departments of Indian Railways, government-owned or government-operated railway systems, Metro Rail, or the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
A valid experience or competency certificate is mandatory. Eligibility and work experience will be assessed as of June 30, 2026.
The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years.
Selected candidates will be appointed on an absorption basis under the NE-2 Pay Level, with a salary ranging from ₹35,000 to ₹110,000. They may be posted anywhere within NHSRCL or on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project.
The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification and a medical examination.
NHSRCL said the CBT for all notified posts will be held on the same day and at the same time, with the examination schedule to be announced on its official website.
Candidates who qualify through all stages of the recruitment process will undergo a medical examination before final selection. Appointees will also be required to complete a one-year probation period.
The application fee is ₹400 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. Applicants from the SC, ST, and women categories are exempt from paying the fee.
Candidates are advised to carefully read the detailed recruitment notification available on the official NHSRCL website before submitting their applications.
