IIM Ahmedabad’s MBA class of 2025 sees highest package at ₹1.10 crore, mean salary ₹35.5 lakh, with consulting and BFSI sectors leading hiring among 178 recruiting firms.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has successfully concluded the final placement process for its MBA-PGP class of 2025, reporting strong outcomes across sectors. The batch saw its highest domestic package at ₹1.10 crore, while the mean first-year salary stood at ₹35.5 lakh, with a median of ₹34.59 lakh.
A total of 178 firms participated, offering 261 roles to the 406 students of the batch, with 395 offers accepted. Consulting and banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sectors accounted for the majority of placements, reflecting strong industry confidence in the institute’s talent pool.

Among recruiters, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) led with 35 offers, including pre-placement offers, followed by Accenture Strategy with 31 and Bain & Company with 17.
Other prominent recruiters included firms from technology, FMCG, and manufacturing sectors, signaling a diverse placement landscape.
The placement process was conducted in accordance with the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) Revision 2.2, with auditing carried out by B2K Analytics to ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting.
IIM Ahmedabad also implemented its “Dream Application” policy, allowing students to apply for preferred sectors and roles, which saw 154 applications this year.
Industry experts note that the strong placement outcomes underscore the sustained confidence of top-tier consulting and financial firms in IIM Ahmedabad graduates, highlighting the institute’s continued leadership in management education.
The results also indicate that students’ sector preferences, especially in consulting and BFSI, remain aligned with prevailing market trends.
This year’s placement season further demonstrates IIM Ahmedabad’s commitment to providing its students with exposure to a wide range of opportunities and competitive compensation packages, maintaining its position as one of India’s premier business schools.
