The notification outlines eligibility criteria, experience requirements, and remuneration structure for multiple roles, while applications remain open until vacancies are filled through an ongoing selection process.

The Eighth Central Pay Commission has invited applications for consultant positions on a contractual basis, with the recruitment process now open through its official website, 8cpc.gov.in.
In a notification issued on April 10, the Government of India said the commission is seeking professionals to provide high-end and time-bound services, either on a full-time or part-time basis.

The commission has been set up to make recommendations on salary structures, allowances, and pensions for various categories of government employees.
As per the notification, there are 20 vacancies in total, including 5 posts for Senior Consultant, 5 for Consultant, and 10 for Young Professionals.
The upper age limit is 45 years for Senior Consultants, 40 years for Consultants, and 32 years for Young Professionals, with minimum experience requirements ranging from 4 to over 10 years depending on the role.
Candidates with qualifications such as a Master’s degree or MBA in Finance, Human Resource, Industrial Relations, or related fields are eligible to apply. Law graduates enrolled with the Bar Council or Bar Association and having relevant experience in legal research or service matters can also apply.
The notification emphasizes that proficiency in Excel, spreadsheets, and presentation tools is mandatory, while experience in pay structure or compensation-related work will be preferred.
Selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration of up to ₹180,000 for Senior Consultants, ₹120,000 for Consultants, and ₹90,000 for Young Professionals for full-time roles.
Part-time options are also available with proportionate pay. No additional benefits such as DA, accommodation, transport, medical reimbursement, or other allowances will be provided.
The roles will involve tasks such as analyzing pay structures, studying data from reports, conducting legal research, and coordinating with ministries. The application process will remain open until all vacancies are filled.
