The Bihar government has initiated the process for recruiting 32,388 teachers under the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4), with the Education Department sending a requisition to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced the development on July 29, calling it a significant step toward improving the state's education system and expanding employment opportunities for young people.

In a post on X, Choudhary said the recruitment drive reflects the government's commitment to strengthening schools while creating jobs across Bihar.
"The Education Department has sent the requisition to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for the appointment of 32,388 teachers under TRE-4. This is an important step towards fulfilling our commitment to quality education, employment for the youth, and a developed Bihar," Choudhary said in his post.
The vacancies are distributed across school levels as follows:
Choudhary said the state government will continue working to generate maximum employment opportunities for young people while further improving Bihar's education system.
The BPSC is expected to issue the official TRE 4 recruitment notification after completing the requisition process. The notification will provide details on eligibility criteria, the application process, important dates, and the selection procedure.
