Applications are open until Aug 13 through the official portal, with the recruitment process including two computer-based test stages for participating AIIMS institutes and government hospitals.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has invited applications for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 11 to fill 2,218 Nursing Officer vacancies across AIIMS New Delhi, other participating AIIMS institutes, and government medical institutions.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official examination portal, aiimsexams.ac.in, until Aug 13.

The recruitment is for Nursing Officer (Group B) posts under Level 7 of the Pay Matrix, corresponding to the pre-revised pay band of ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 with a Grade Pay of ₹4,600.
Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
• BSc (Hons) Nursing, BSc Nursing, or Post-Basic BSc Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council recognized institute or university, along with registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or the INC.
• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an INC or State Nursing Council recognized institute, registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the State Nursing Council or the INC, and two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after obtaining the essential qualification.
AIIMS clarified that the mandatory two years of experience for GNM candidates must be completed only after finishing the course, declaration of results, and registration with the State Nursing Council or the INC.
The age limit is 18 to 30 years for all AIIMS institutions, with age relaxation applicable as per the recruitment rules of the participating institutes. Aug 13, 2026, the closing date for online registration, will be considered the cut-off date for determining candidates' age.

Candidates can pay the fee through debit card, credit card, or net banking. AIIMS said the application fee is non-refundable.
However, SC and ST candidates who appear for the examination will receive a refund after the declaration of results, subject to verification of their category certificates.

The examination will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode at centers across India. AIIMS also said requests to change the allotted examination center will not be entertained.
