UPESSC Teacher Recruitment 2026: Applications open for 15,012 teaching posts

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced 15,012 teaching vacancies across the Basic and Secondary Education departments, with applications beginning this week for two categories of Assistant Teacher posts.

The recruitment drive includes 11,508 Assistant Teacher (Urban) positions, 897 Assistant Teacher vacancies in attached primary sections of non-government-aided secondary schools, and 2,607 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts.

Application dates

Applications for the 11,508 Assistant Teacher (Urban) and 897 Assistant Teacher posts opened on Sept 16. Candidates can pay the application fee until Oct 15 and make corrections to their submitted forms through Oct 19.

The examination for these two categories is scheduled for Dec 3 and 4.

For the 2,607 PGT vacancies, the online application process will begin on Sept 18. The deadline for fee payment is Oct 17, while corrections will be allowed until Oct 21.

The PGT examination is scheduled to take place on Dec 15 and 16.

OTR mandatory

Candidates applying for the advertised teaching positions must complete the commission's One-Time Registration (OTR) process before submitting their applications.

UPESSC has made OTR a mandatory requirement for candidates seeking to apply for the notified vacancies. Applicants should complete the registration process before proceeding with their respective applications.
