The five-month live online course equips healthcare professionals to evaluate, implement, and manage AI applications across clinical care, hospital operations, digital health, research, and patient services.

IITM Pravartak has introduced a five-month Executive Programme in AI-Driven Healthcare Transformation aimed at helping healthcare professionals build the knowledge needed to assess and implement artificial intelligence across clinical care, hospital operations, digital health, research, and patient care settings.
According to IIT Madras, the live online program has been developed exclusively for healthcare professionals, enabling them to understand and apply AI technologies without requiring expertise in AI engineering.

The curriculum focuses on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Agentic AI in healthcare while helping participants identify AI opportunities across clinical, operational, and patient care workflows and implement them responsibly in real-world settings.
The institute said the growing adoption of AI across healthcare organizations is increasing the need for professionals who can combine healthcare expertise with AI capabilities.
Such professionals are expected to contribute to digital transformation initiatives, strategic planning, and improved patient outcomes across the healthcare sector.
The five-month program will be delivered through live online weekend sessions led by domain experts, requiring an estimated six hours of study each week.
Participants will also have the option to attend a two-day campus immersion at IIT Madras Research Park.
Following an AI-first approach, the curriculum covers applications of AI in clinical practice, hospital operations, patient care, and healthcare research.
Graduates with a 10+2+3 qualification from a recognized university are eligible to apply, with preference given to medical graduates.
The program fee is ₹154,900 plus GST, and successful participants will receive a certificate from IITM Pravartak. The institute is also offering an early bird discount of 8% on the program fee.
According to the institute, the program is intended to prepare healthcare professionals to effectively bridge clinical expertise with emerging AI technologies in an increasingly AI-enabled healthcare ecosystem.
