The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has started accepting applications for its Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2026, with the registration window open until April 3 at 5 pm.
The fellowship is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students from institutions other than IIT Delhi, offering them an opportunity to work on research projects under the guidance of IIT Delhi faculty members.

The eight-week program will be conducted from May 13 to July 13, 2026. Selected candidates will take part in research and development activities during this period, and the final list is expected to be announced in the first week of May.
For eligibility, undergraduate applicants must have completed at least two years of their engineering course and should be among the top ten students in their branch.
ME and MTech applicants must have completed at least one semester, ranked within the top ten, and secured a minimum of 70% marks or a CGPA of 7.0 on a 10-point scale.
Applications have to be submitted online through the official portal. Candidates are required to register, fill in personal, academic, and research details, and submit a statement of purpose.
Applicants must upload a recent photograph, a consolidated grade card, a rank certificate, and a No Objection Certificate from their institution confirming availability for the full duration of the program.
While physical copies are not required during application, original documents must be presented at the time of joining.
Selected students will receive support that includes sleeper class train travel to and from IIT Delhi, hostel accommodation with meals, and a weekly stipend of ₹2,000. They will be treated as visiting students and will not be required to pay any registration fee.
Participants will need to arrange their own insurance coverage for accidents and related risks during the program.
