SDM University celebrates Doctors Day

SDM University celebrated National Doctors Day on 1st July 2026. Doctors Day is been celebrated in the Country to commemorate the Birthday of Dr BC Roy, an eminent Doctor and Notable Chief Minister of West Bengal who dedicated himself to serve the mankind. It is also our prime duty to salute all our Doctors who continuously strive themselves for the betterment of the patients.

During the Doctors Day celebration, three eminent Doctors from SDM Medical College and Hospital were felicitated considering there significant contribution to the Medical Education, respective departments and Patients atlarge.

• Dr Asha Neravi, Senior Professor of OBG
• Dr Raviraj Patil, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics

Dr Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, felicitated 3 doctors and addressed that:

• Patients silence blessings are the best honours to Doctors
• Doctors should do small things with great love
• Humility and Humbleness is the key to the Medical Profession
• Medicine is the noble profession; Quality cannot be compromised
• Doctors should have listing capacity and compassion
• Personal touch cannot be forgotten when institution grows
• Doctors save many lives thus they contribute values for society
