One big thing India is doing is promoting the collection of rainwater. Local governments are asking people to put tanks on the roofs of homes, offices and schools to collect rainwater. This helps to refill the water under the ground and reduces our need to get water from places especially when we do not have enough water.

Another important thing is. Reusing wastewater. Cities are spending money on projects to treat wastewater and use it for things like factories, parks and flushing toilets. This reduces the pressure on our rivers and lakes. Helps to ensure we have water for a long time.

The government is also promoting the use of technologies to manage water. We are using computers, sensors and maps to find leaks make sure water is distributed equally and use water wisely. This helps to reduce waste and provide water services in cities.

India is also teaching people about the importance of saving water and asking them to help conserve water.

Significance:

These steps are very important to solve the problem of not having water in cities, which is getting worse because of the growing population, changing climate and decreasing water under the ground.

Good management of water in cities also helps to achieve the goal of cities by providing reliable water supply improving health and making cities stronger against climate-related problems, like droughts and heatwaves.

From a point of view saving and reusing water helps to protect rivers and lakes and reduces the harm caused by taking too much water from them.

India is giving a lot of attention to water management because we need to build cities that can withstand the effects of climate change. By collecting rainwater reusing wastewater and using technologies India is working to ensure we have water for a long time and to support the development of sustainable cities.
