Regarding India’s inaugural advanced Animal Stem Cell Biobank and Laboratory:
What it is?

A state-of-the-art center focused on conserving, studying, and applying animal stem cells for regenerative medicine, disease modeling, and reproductive biotechnology in farm animals.
Place: Hyderabad, Telangana
Located at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB).
Organisation Participating:
National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) – part of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT)
Backed by the National Biopharma Mission (NBM) of DBT–BIRAC.
Objective:
Improve veterinary health advancements with regenerative medicine and cellular treatments.
Promote the One Health concept by connecting the health of humans, animals, and the environment.
Enhance India’s ability in biotechnology-driven agricultural output.
Main Characteristics:
Sophisticated Facilities – Stem cell cultivation area, 3D bioprinting equipment, bacterial culture laboratory, cryogenic storage, autoclave facilities.
