LexPacto presents the 1st Virtual National Mediation Competition cum Certified Training Program, providing a dynamic platform for law students worldwide to refine their mediation skills and compete at a national level. Participants engage in simulated mediation sessions, demonstrating their ability to resolve disputes effectively. Spanning three enriching days, including training sessions, preliminary rounds, and culminating in the finals, this competition offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in practical legal scenarios and elevate their expertise in alternative dispute resolution.
Embedded within the competition is a comprehensive training program led by seasoned legal experts and practitioners. Participants delve into the fundamentals of mediation, communication and negotiation strategies, conflict analysis, and specialized mediation contexts. Through interactive sessions, participants develop crucial skills, deepen their understanding of legal frameworks, and emerge as adept mediators equipped to navigate diverse conflict scenarios with finesse and professionalism.

The competition welcomes participation from all Law Colleges, Law Schools, Universities, and Departments of Law. Full-time or part-time law students are eligible to register, while post-graduation students and those in correspondence courses are not. Cross-institute teams are also encouraged to participate, with each institution allowed to register up to three teams.
Registration involves provisional registration via email followed by confirmation and submission of a duly filled Google form. The registration fee for Indian teams is INR 4,500, and for international teams, it's $60. Payment is made through a provided QR code or link, with no refunds for withdrawals after payment.
The competition unfolds over three stages: Mediation Training, Prelims, and Finals. Each stage involves specific activities, including co-mediated sessions, role interchanges, and feedback sessions. Teams of three members, comprising a mediator, client, and counsel, navigate through the competition's various stages, with equal opportunity and fairness ensured throughout.
Participants engage in mediation sessions via the Zoom platform, facilitated by judges, mediators, and session supervisors. Strict guidelines ensure the dignity and professionalism of proceedings, including dress codes, confidentiality, and adherence to allotted timeframes.
Winners and runners-up receive cash prizes and certificates of merit, with additional recognition for the best mediator. E-certificates of participation are awarded to all teams competing in both rounds of the preliminary stage.
Key dates include registration deadlines, training sessions, preliminary rounds, and the final competition. Detailed schedules and essential links are provided for participants' reference and convenience.
