Aviation authorities launch investigation after aircraft suffers nose wheel damage during landing

An aircraft operated by Air India Express experienced a hard landing at Phuket International Airport after arriving from Hyderabad. The incident occurred during the aircraft’s landing phase when the plane touched down with greater-than-normal force, resulting in damage to its landing gear.
According to initial reports, the nose wheels of the aircraft detached during the landing, causing concern among passengers and aviation officials. Despite the incident, all passengers and crew members on board remained safe, and no casualties or major injuries were reported. Airport emergency services responded promptly and ensured the safe evacuation and inspection of the aircraft.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the hard landing. Aviation safety regulators and technical experts will examine factors such as weather conditions, aircraft systems, pilot response, and runway conditions. Maintenance teams are also conducting a detailed inspection of the aircraft to assess the extent of the damage.
Hard landings are rare but significant events in aviation, as they can place unusual stress on aircraft components, particularly the landing gear structure. Aviation experts note that such incidents are thoroughly investigated to ensure compliance with safety protocols and to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
The event highlights the importance of maintaining strict aviation safety standards, including regular aircraft maintenance, pilot training, and operational monitoring. Ensuring the safety of passengers and crew remains the highest priority for airlines and aviation authorities worldwide.
Industry observers emphasize that timely investigation and transparent reporting of such incidents are essential for strengthening safety systems and improving operational procedures in the aviation sector. The findings of the investigation are expected to contribute to further improvements in aircraft safety, maintenance practices, and regulatory oversight in the aviation industry.
