Adani unveils three-point organisational overhaul as Group revenue reaches Rs 2.92 lakh crore

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Wednesday said the conglomerate recorded consolidated portfolio revenue of Rs 2.92 lakh crore in FY2025-26, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 7.4 per cent, while outlining a long-term roadmap aimed at strengthening execution, workforce welfare and infrastructure development over the next decade.

Addressing shareholders at the Group’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Adani said the organisation was focused not only on building infrastructure that powers India’s growth but also on creating institutions that support human dignity and social development.

“Our future will demand more ambition, more discipline and more execution than ever before. Together, we stand ready to help shape the India whose greatest days lie ahead,” he said.

As part of the next phase of growth, Adani announced three foundational steps for the organisation.

The first involves simplifying operations through a three-layer structure across headquarters and project sites to reduce bureaucracy, improve accountability and bring decision-making closer to execution. Non-core activities will gradually be shifted to Global Capability Centres (GCCs) or specialised partners.

The second focuses on strengthening relationships with contractors. Adani said the Group views contractors as long-term partners in nation-building and intends to create a framework where their growth, margins and interests are aligned with project outcomes.

The third pillar centres on worker welfare. According to Adani, nearly 85 per cent of the Group’s workforce of about four lakh people, including contractor staff, work on project sites. He said the company would prioritise dignified living conditions, hygienic food, healthcare access, workplace safety and timely payment of wages.

On the business front, Adani highlighted significant expansion across the Group’s core sectors.

At Adani Energy Solutions, the transmission order book rose to Rs 72,000 crore, supported by major project wins, including the Khavda South-Olpad HVDC transmission line.

Adani Power is implementing what the company describes as India’s largest private-sector power capital expenditure programme, exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore. The company aims to expand generation capacity to 45 GW over the next five years. Adani also announced a partnership with Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation to jointly develop 5,000 MW of hydropower projects.

The Group’s newly announced nuclear energy venture, Adani Atomic Energy, is targeting 10 GW of capacity by 2035. Adani said land has already been identified for future projects as India’s demand for round-the-clock clean energy continues to grow.

In the city gas distribution segment, Adani Total Gas crossed 1.1 million piped natural gas (PNG) household connections and plans to accelerate network expansion amid rising demand for cleaner fuels.

Adani Ports handled more than 500 million tonnes of cargo during FY26. The Group is now targeting one billion tonnes of cargo handling capacity by 2030. Adani highlighted the performance of the Vizhinjam port, which crossed one million TEUs in its first year of operations, calling it the fastest such achievement by any Indian port.

The Group also marked key milestones in aviation. Navi Mumbai International Airport and the new integrated terminal at Guwahati Airport were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Adani said Navi Mumbai Airport, with a planned capacity of 90 million passengers, was built in just over four years.

In digital infrastructure, Adani said the Group’s data centre business is progressing towards a 3 GW platform by 2030. He cited a binding memorandum of understanding with Google for a gigawatt-scale data centre project in Visakhapatnam as evidence of growing demand and confidence from global technology companies.

Adani Cement expanded its installed capacity to 110 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) and supplied materials for several major infrastructure projects, including the Chenab Railway Bridge and Navi Mumbai International Airport.

The Group also outlined its ambitions in defence and aerospace. Partnerships with Leonardo and Embraer are expected to support the development of helicopter and regional aircraft manufacturing ecosystems in India, alongside maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and pilot training facilities.

Beyond business expansion, Adani said the Adani Foundation continues to play a central role in the Group’s social initiatives. The Foundation currently reaches around 10 million people across 7,000 villages in 22 states.

He highlighted healthcare initiatives, including the development of Adani Health City campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, which will combine multi-speciality hospitals, medical colleges and research facilities. The Foundation is also expanding affordable eye-care programmes in Bihar.

In skill development, Adani said the Group is training more than 1.25 lakh young people across rural India. He added that the adoption of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Karma Utsav initiative in Gujarat’s Kutch region is helping create local employment opportunities and reduce migration.

The AGM reflected the Group’s dual focus on infrastructure expansion and social development as it positions itself for its next phase of growth.
